20 Dozen Cookies

look like this:

My friend Allison is doing fundraising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Here is a little info about why she's involved:

"On June 2, 2008, my friend Mandy Bauermeister was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma. She had been experiencing night sweats, fatigue and soreness in her arms, and had never guessed that these symptoms were those of a blood cancer. In the following months, she had to endure treatments with harsh side effects (including the loss of her hair). Some days, she really struggled to get through work and regular everyday activities. Even today, she still struggles with her memory, and has to blame some things on her "chemo brain." Mandy completed her final chemo treatment on November 17, 2008 and is currently in remission. Mandy has learned through her journey to never take anything for granted."

Allison is hosting a Nelson's Port-A-Pit Chicken Fundraiser tomorrow at the Kroger on DuPont and Coldwater Roads in Fort Wayne. If you're around, stop by and get a chicken. She will also be selling those 20 dozen Amish Sugar cookies, pictured above.

If you're interested in donating, or just reading more about Allison's journey, I put a widget in my sidebar, right under my Twitter Updates where you can go and check out her full story, and track her fundraising progress. You can also click here to be redirected to her Team In Training page.

Every little bit counts.

  1. Thank you Angi for doing everything you've done so far to help out! I am truly blessed to have you as a friend! You're absolutely right, EVERY little bit counts. No donation is too small!

The funds that I raise will go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to aid patients with on going treatment and continue the ultimate goal, a cure!
