I've Been Wasting Time

And you can too! I don't know the web address, but I typed in "lol dogs" into Google and click on the first link. The pictures are seriously hilarious.

3...2...1...

That is how fast our wedding is going to be here. I can't believe it's coming so soon! I have plenty of things left to do, but I really have a great deal finished. Today Josh and I went and picked out his wedding band. It's the most wonderfully simple ring possible. I mean it. Here is a picture of it with my ring, just to make the picture more exciting. Yes, I am available to photograph weddings if you want me to. I'm quite professional.

In the mail today, I got an invitation to my wedding shower. Sarah spent so much time working on these invites. I love them. Yes, I erased almost all of the info, because you people on the internets are crazy.

We met with our pastor this morning. We had to take an online compatibility survey to make sure we could get married. I'm serious. Anyway, our results were "keep up the good work!". So, woo hoo, we really are compatible. We needed a survey to tell us that. We were talking to our pastor and he was saying that there are a lot of couples who go into marriage not believing that it will last forever. Why would you get married if you didn't think you'd be with that person for the rest of your life?? I sure wouldn't. Our pastor said he still marries those people. I would have a problem with that. He said he's only not married one couple, because on the survey, the groom said he really didn't want to get married, but thought he had to or they would break up. One question we didn't score well on was: "When I have children, my lifestyle won't change much." We both answered "agree" and the survey said we had unrealistic expectations. Our pastor remembered the last time we talked to him how we said that we don't go out, we stay home and watch movies (like tonight...and every other night)...and he said that we answered the question correctly and that it was directed toward younger people who do go out all the time. I hate when tests try to categorize everyone together. Isn't that kind of stereotyping young couples?? Anyway, our marriage has been blessed by the PREPARE/ENRICH company.

I've scheduled my first fitting for my dress, and I go pick out our decorations soon for the reception. It's really happening!

Here are two pictures of me teaching my field experience class a lesson on DDT and Rachel Carson. :)

It's Time To Get Serious

Josh and I were talking yesterday at the Y, and I realized that I have under three months until the wedding, and I've given up on my total goal for weight loss. I lost some weight and was happy with my body, but haven't achieved my ultimate goal. So, it's time to get into gear. Before our wedding I will have lost as much weight as I planned to from the start. I am going to look fabulous, and will love every bit of it...ok, I'm sure I'll still not be happy, but I'll have accomplished weight loss in two big steps. I'm not half-assing this anymore. It's go time. Wish me luck.

You've Got To Love Bon Jovi

This is hilarious.

Women Drivers

This video is hilarious. You may want to turn your sound down though, because the song is obnoxious.

Man vs. Wild?

This is too funny. Check it out. I can't stand these survivor shows.

Fashion Question

If these women spent this much money on all of these dresses....

Why didn't they pay a seamstress to hem them to the right length? Honestly, how do they walk in these without tripping? So, should I leave my wedding dress too long in the front?

Upside Down Dogs

Josh is getting sick of me making him look at these pictures, but each new one I see, I find hilarious! If you're having a bad day go to Upsidedowndogs.com and it will definitely improve your day. Seriously. Here are a few of my favorites. Enjoy. :)

Mexican Night

Tonight was Mexican night, and it was great. I hope we can have Mexican night again soon. Any suggestions for next weekend??

Nachos and Strawberry Margaritas...in honor of Valentine's Day ;)
The wonderful strawberry margaritas.
Flan that Megan made. I have never had flan before, but it was great.
My FAVORITE...Mexican Wedding Rings/Cakes. Love these. Megan made them.

Italian Night

It took me a long time to post about Italian night. I'm not really sure why, except that maybe I had too much to drink on Italian night so I didn't feel like posting. :) It was pretty good. My pizza didn't turn out the greatest, but we still had fun.

Babies, Babies, Babies

I was watching GMA the other day and they did a study that showed that only children are more likely to want to have a million kids because of their own lonely childhoods...oh no. That must mean Josh and I are next on the list for a reality television show about our thirty kids. I asked Josh if he had the urge to have 16 kids, and he said no. Thank God. Trust me, I won't be the next Octamom.

Speaking of the Octomom.. When they very first released her picture, the first thing I said to my friend Chris (because we also check out the newest celeb gossip together) was "wow, she looks a lot like Angelina Jolie". Fast forward to the article I read today. Octuplet Mom Denies She's Trying to be like Angelina Jolie. Whatever. Ok, so it's not really trying to be her to have 14 children...but it is when you get a nose job and get your lips injected and look enough like her for the whole world to realize that you want to be her. I mean really. She even tried to say that she hadn't ever had plastic surgery. I mean, I'm just from Indiana and all, and I may not be able to spot a lot of plastic work, but that's about as obvious as Rod Blagojevich.

Don't believe me, judge for yourself.

I'll get off of my soapbox now.

Excuse Me, Comcast?

How am I supposed to watch Good Morning America this morning if the cable is out? I mean it. How? I won't be able to sit and cry about the cute stories. AND I won't be able to see the interview with the eight baby woman. Dumb Comcast. They ruin everything.

In unrelated news, me, mom, and Lisa went to our reception hall last night for their annual tasting. It was awesome. We got great ideas, and we know what we want when we go to finalize everything on the 21st. Here are the centerpieces I picked.

This is the short one, but they have giant ones too. I'm going to have giant ones on half the tables and these short ones on the other halves. They looked so cool. I'm glad things are coming together.

I am meeting with Leah, our baker, this Sunday to finalize the cake. I'm glad I saw this before we met, because I would be changing it, this is very different than my idea I was going to use. We are going to have to change little things so it looks right for us, but I definitely want to see if she can model it off of this one. I'm sure she can, she is great.

Wow. The day I've waited over a year for is almost here. And surprisingly, I'm ready for it. I can't wait to marry Joshua.

New Funny Commercial

I love this.

Groomsmen's Gifts

I am very excited about these. The groomsmen's gifts came last night. I ordered them all these beer glasses and they have their names etched on them, but are a little hard to see in the picture. I am going to put these glasses in these buckets and put a six pack of bottles of the guys favorite beer in it. I'll probably put a bar towel in the bottom or something because the buckets are pretty deep. You can order the glasses online. I ordered through the Knot Wedding Shop and they were on sale. I got the buckets at Lowe's.

Snow Dogs!

I took these pictures, because it is pretty unusual for all three dogs to be out of their houses at the same time, and not be barking at something. They were just enjoying the sunshine and warmer air. :)
