I need vanilla extract, but I noticed that imitation vanilla extract is way cheaper. Which do you prefer? Is there a taste difference??

I use the cheap stuff. I really think it just depends on how much of a vanilla flavor you want. When I was in high school we had some really good vanilla that wasn't imitation that was good but the cost is crazy. Of course, I'm not a cook.
