Where To Begin?

If you're not interested in me rambling on about how I'd like to change things in my house, and what my dream house would hold, you're not going to like this post. For sure.

Back in June 2009 you got my first bathroom related post. We had just been to Menard's to get my hammock right after our wedding, and walked around looking at everything that glorious store has to offer. Is Menard's everywhere or just here? I don't know that I've ever heard anyone outside of FW talk about them. Do you have one?
Anyway, in this post you can see my fascination with the vessel sink. By fascination, I mean obsession. The salon that I go to has a vessel sink and in the bottom they have three or four flat river rocks over the drain, and I love the look of it. Absolutely love it. I decided I needed to have my own, and kept that decision for two years.
On Saturday, me and mom went to Menard's to return some extra supplies from my Screen Making Sunday, and then walked around looking at everything.

I was ready to put this one in the cart.
I loved this. I mentioned in my old post that I wanted a frosted bowl, which I still think would be a better idea because it wouldn't look as dirty as a clear glass bowl. I think me and mom spent at least a half hour to an hour looking at bathroom vanities. Seriously. Right after looking at this one though, something changed in my mind. I realized that while I do love the vessel sink, it is very trendy. I think it looks awesome, and absolutely wonderful in the spa, but I don't live in a spa. Fact is, I live in a house that was built in 1954, long before a vessel sink would have been put in a home. While I love it, in time it will probably start to look how the 70's orange counter tops and yellow shag carpeting looks in bathrooms now. Very dated. (I'm not hating if you want this vessel sink in your home, I've simply decided that it isn't good for my home. Go ahead, spa it up if you want.)
So we moved on to other vanities. I really love this, but even without Josh being there, I knew he would say that he wants counter space on the side of the sink for when he's shaving or when he doesn't put his tooth brush away. I really do love this one though.
But I ultimately decided that I want this style, in dark brown. The white is the exact ensemble I want, but wrong color.
This is the correct color.
One minute I love this faucet, and the next minute I don't. I can't decide if it is what I want or not.
For over the toilet.
This is the correct everything.
I don't like this one, but I thought it was interesting. The vessel is a leaf. That would look pretty awesome in a spa.
This is the website for the vanity maker, they have some awesome stuff.
This is the website for my new favorite store, Menards.
This is the website for the rabbit with a pancake on its head.
