Interesting Day

I'm just now realizing how lacking I've been in my posting. These photos are from a few weeks ago. When I think back now, this day that they tore our yard up is nothing to how torn up it is now...

I looked out the front window and saw a man with this machine tool cutter thing. I had no idea what it was, but when it put it into the ground the whole house shook. (Side note: I'm not sure if you've noticed or not, but in every picture taken in my living room, there is always a laundry basket. I need to get on that.)
Then, that cutter didn't work, so he brought this:

Dear Cutter Guy, Your cutter thing didn't work because it is February in Northeastern Indiana. The ground is frozen. Come back in four months.

I was freaking out. That digger thing has been back every day since, and we basically have giant waist deep holes in our yard. I'm not even sure what they're doing.
